With summer approaching, it’s time once again to feature some of Charleston’s hottest local acts in our annual Charleston Sound Presents compilation release. Last year’s edition was a critical and commercial success, earning rave reviews in the Post & Courier and Charleston City Paper and drawing great crowds to our shows at the Windjammer and the Pour House. Best of all, a portion of the proceeds was donated to Lowcountry Local First, an advocacy organization dedicated to strengthening the local economy.

This year’s lineup is strong and we expect great things for the CD. But we’re still looking for a charity to support with our sales. Have a suggestion? Send an email to charity@charlestonsound.com and tell us about a good cause in the Charleston area that could use some help. We’ll review the responses and find a winner from your suggestions.
