New York, Chicago, New Orleans….Charleston. The history of jazz can be traced to these cities and in a few weeks, Charleston Sound will take part in a historic event to celebrate The Holy City’s legacy of jazz. As part of the Charleston Jazz Initiative’s Legends Festival, Charleston Sound will host a one-of-a-kind studio recording session featuring Quentin Baxter and prominent jazz artists from around the country. The recording will be featured in a CD companion the Charleston jazz archive to be unveiled later in the year. We look forward to contributing to this historic project.
